Life is a series of adventures, and over the years I’ve (over)documented most of ours. Now that Covid has us sticking close to home, it’s time to share some pics, along with a few notes here and there, in case someone might find them useful for their own travels or cooking adventures.

(PS, I am deeply indebted to Steve Jobs and his team at Apple for iPhones.)

Northern Italy

Poggio Verde Country Villa

Poggio Verde Country Villa, between Milan and Lake Como, is the ideal home base for exploring Northern Italy.

Paris

Rainbow over Pont Neuf

The apartment we visit in the 6th Arrondissement is in a perfect location for wandering and discovering Paris.

Estes Park

Hummingbird on the deck

Our Estes Park vacation home is a great spot to settle into for exploring Rocky Mountain National Park.

Home (Kansas) and Skies

Wheat in June nearing harvest time

Kansas is surprisingly beautiful. The skies and sunsets can be quite splendid and driving from here to there or walking around the neighborhood can yield all kinds of treasures in all four seasons.

Elderslie

Elderslie Farm Patio and Elderslie Creamery

Elderslie Farm, which our daughter
co-owns with her husband, encompasses a fine dining restaurant, goat dairy and creamery, seasonal outdoor cafe, blackberry farm and sawmill.

Cooking

Simple grilled veggies and rice

I started a cooking blog in 2012 and recently re-named it ‘Nannie in the Kitchen” but it should really be called “Papi in the Kitchen.” Nannie mostly watches and takes pics these days.
